Your privacy

Akashic TV stores your username, display name, securely hashed password, recovery-code hash, and saved likes to provide your account and playlists. A necessary session cookie keeps you signed in.

When you choose Google sign-in, the site verifies your Google identity and stores your Google account identifier and display name. It never receives your Google password. Password accounts and Google accounts are separate unless an account-linking feature is offered.

Live chat is public and shows your display name. Messages expire after 10 minutes and are removed from the live chat store on subsequent requests. You can delete your own messages before they expire. Reports help hide abusive messages. Hashed IP identifiers and short-lived request counters are used for abuse prevention.

YouTube and Spotify embedded players connect to those services and are subject to their privacy policies. Your Akashic TV likes stay on this site; they do not automatically like content on YouTube or Spotify.

If you connect YouTube for comments, Google asks for permission to access your YouTube account. The access token is kept in page memory, not stored in your Akashic TV account. Comments you explicitly post are sent directly to YouTube and remain there under YouTube’s policies; the 10-minute limit applies only to website live chat. Disconnect by signing out or closing the page, and revoke access at Google account connections.

Akashic TV uses Google data only to provide the features you choose. It is not sold or used for advertising. Google may describe the YouTube commenting permission broadly as access to videos, ratings, comments and captions. Akashic TV uses it only to read and post comments you submit; it does not upload, edit or delete your videos.

For account or data-deletion requests, contact avrsmarttech@gmail.com. You can revoke Google access at any time using the connection link above.

Guests can post using a nickname marked as Guest. A session identifier keeps that guest identity consistent. Chat has a 45-second cooldown and blocks repeated messages within the visible chat period. Verified moderators can mute or ban chat participants. Restrictions can apply to an account, guest identity and hashed network address. Active bans remain until lifted; timed mutes expire. A limited moderation audit is retained to operate these controls. These records do not preserve expired chat text.
